U.S. Embassy, Yerevan
Armenian Wounded Heroes Fund met with U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills and his senior defense team in Yerevan to advance joint programs for Armenia’s Combat Casualty Care capability.
Ambassador Mills stressed that the U.S. assistance budget for Armenia will be declining, therefore making it critical for Armenian diasporan organizations to mobilize and feel gaps where possible.
AWHF is Filling the Gap
This program is a unique example of how the Embassy teams up with a diasporan organization to deliver a successful program. While the U.S. is funding the considerable expense of training Armenian medics, it is not supplying the equipment and kits required. AWHF is filling the gap by purchasing, through donations, and fielding advanced US-made kits to supplement the program and deliver a modern system of saving lives during combat.
Your Donations
As with most countries outside of the U.S., Armenian troops did not have an effective capability to prevent certain common causes of combat deaths. Thanks to your donations, we have now implemented this system in 5 out of 10 regions of Artsakh, and are working to cover 100% of the front lines.
