Karen Tagvoryan sustained heavy leg injuries during an Azeri attack in Artsakh (Hadrut region) in May 2017. His friend Narek Boshyan immediately applied first aid, using newly distributed AWHF kits and carried him to the squad ambulance. At that moment, Narek was also injured by a grenade blast that severely injured his left arm. Narek was able to apply first aid to himself and stop the bleeding.
Both sustained significant blood loss and were unconscious while transported to the hospital. However, AWHF kits did their job and limited further blood loss until reaching the hospital.
Narek and Karen are thankful to AWHF donors who funded the equipment that saved their lives. We are thankful for their immense sacrifices.
